processor, the
fanless TR-5915
industrial PC
features a highly
optimized thermal
design to operate
over a temperature
range of 0 ~ 50°C
at full software
load.
TR-5915 is
recommended for
computer
applications in
dusty or highly
toxic environments.
Risk of failure in
contaminated
conditions is
directly
proportional to the
speed of the air
flow. For
example, a computer
with air fans can
suffer serious
damage in water
filtration plants
that have high
concentrations of
chlorine in the
ambient air.
Another example is a
common problem in
automotive tire
plants, where
sulphur in rubber
dust accumulates on
the internal
computer board,
disintegrating the
fine copper traces
causing catastrophic
failures.
The computer
compartment of the
TR-5915 is
completely sealed,
thus preventing
toxic particles from
entering the system.
The enclosure is a
specially designed
aluminum casting
that removes heat
with direct thermal
connections to the
processor, chipset
and video
components.
The ribbed aluminum
cast enclosure
offers optimum heat
exchange with the
ambient air.
The rear of the LCD
enclosure is also
made from the
aluminum cast for
maximum benefit of
the convection air
flow. The
power supply adapter
is also a fanless,
sealed module.
For the convection
cooling to be
effective, the
TR-5915 should be
installed in an area
with plenty of fresh
air. This
applies for any
fanless computer.
